INSTRUCTIONS:
NOTE:  do not tighten any clamps or nuts and bolts until the last step!!  Before cutting any pipes it is a good idea to lay out all the included pipes along side the vehicle and get a good idea of how the pipes will hang on the vehicle.  Please read the instructions fully and thoroughly before you begin.

1)  Remove the old exhaust system, leaving only the y-pipe and the converter on the truck.  There are 3 o.e. hangers on this vehicle after the converter.  You will need to remove the 2 rear-most hangers, one is just before the rear axle, and the other just after it.  Save the bolts to re-use on the new hangers included in this kit.

2)  Install the i.d. end of the 3” front extension pipe to the converter using a 3” clamp.  Be sure to line up the notch on the extension pipe to the knob on the converter.

3)  Install the y-pipe to the 3” extension pipe (the leg with the bend goes towards the drive shaft), using a 3” clamp to connect the two pieces.  Locate the original hanger mount located along side the 3” front extension pipe.  Install the 3” hanger clamp to the o.e. hanger and connect the clamp to the 3” front extension pipe.

4)  Install the right tail pipe (it has 5 bends) to the y-pipe using a 2-1/4” clamp.  Make sure that you have at least 1/2” of clearance from the shock.  Install the right tail pipe extension to the right tail pipe.  Locate the hole above, where the original tail pipe hanger was, and use the o.e. bolt to mount one of the BR91930 hangers to the frame.  Use a 2-1/4” clamp to connect the hanger to the connecting point of the right tail pipe and the right tail pipe extension.  NOTE:  you may want to trim the right (and later the left) tail pipe to your desired length.

5)  Install the muffler tip onto the right tail pipe.  Use a 2-1/4” clamp to secure the tip to the tail pipe and hanger just installed.

6)  Install the left front tail pipe (2 bends, short), making sure that you have clearance between the rear brake line (bend bracket to the front if necessary), shock, and spare tire.  You will need to tie off the breather line using the included cable tie.  Connect the breather line to the bracket, and not to the brake cable.

7)  Install the left rear tail pipe (2 bends, long) to the left front tail pipe using a 2-1/4” clamp.  The left tail pipe is routed between the shock and the frame.  Again, you may want to trim the pipe to length.

8)  You will need to install a BR91930 swinger hanger to the o.e. bracket in front of the rear axle and above the left tail pipe.  You will need to put about an 80 degree bend in the second hole so that it can be bolted to the o.e. bracket using the o.e. bolt.  Use a 2-1/4” clamp to connect to the left front tail pipe in the first bend.

9)  Locate the mounting hole that contains the wiring grommet on the left side after the rear axle (or drill if one is not present).  Remove the grommet and drill the hole to 5/16”, and install a BR91930 hanger to the frame using the included 5/16” x 1” bolt, nut, lock and fender washer.  Use a 2-1/4” clamp to connect the hanger and the left rear tail pipe.  Be sure not to drill through the wiring harness.

10)  Mount the other muffler tip to the left tail pipe using a 2-1/4” clamp.  Secure the tip to the tail pipe and the hanger as done in step 5).

11)  Tighten all clamps, nuts, and bolts.  Check for leaks and for clearance of all brake and fuel lines, and for clearance of all chassis and frame components.  We recommend tack welding the joints (not necessary though).
