INSTRUCTIONS:
NOTE:  do not tighten any clamps or nuts and bolts until the last step!!  Before cutting any pipes it is a good idea to lay out all the included pipes along side the vehicle and get a good idea of how the pipes will hang on the vehicle.  Please read the instructions fully and thoroughly before you begin.

1)  Remove the old exhaust system at the inlet of the muffler, leaving only the y-pipe, converters, and the extension pipe on the truck.  A notched 2-1/2” ID/OD extension pipe and extra 2-1/2” clamp have been included to replace the original stainless steel extension pipe if you so desire.

2) If necessary, install the 42” 2-1/2” ID/OD extension pipe to the converter pipe, lining up the notch.  For quad cab long box (160.5” w.b.) no cutting is necessary.  For quad cab short box and regular cab long box (140.5” w.b.), cut 20” off the o.d. end of the extension pipe, and for the regular cab short box (120.5” w.b.) cut off 40”, and you may need to trim the inlet of the y to length for proper fit.

3)  Install the y-pipe to the extension pipe, using the 2-1/2” hanger clamp to connect the two pieces.  Make sure that the y-pipe is mounted parallel to the ground.

4)  Install the right tail pipe (it has 4 bends) making sure that you have at least 1/2” of clearance from the shock.  Install the right 2-1/4” hanger clamp to the existing o.e. rubber hanger mount at the connecting point of the right tail pipe and the y pipe, and clamp to this junction.  This hanger is longer than the left hanger clamp, and it has an offset s-bend in the wire.

5)  Install the left tail pipe (2 bends) to the y-pipe using the left 2-1/4” hanger clamp, making sure that you have clearance between the rear brake line (bend bracket to the front if necessary), shock, and spare tire.  Connect the hanger to the o.e. rubber mount above.  NOTE:  the tail pipe crosses over the top and behind the rear differential.

6)  Install the rear portion of the left tail pipe (it has one bend) to the left tail pipe using a 2-1/4” clamp.  Locate the 1” hole (or drill a hole) in the frame above the middle of the rear portion of the left tail pipe and using a 3/8” x 3-1/2” bolt, nut, lock washer, and large and fender washers (install the smaller washer to the bolt first, then the larger washer), mount the BR91930 to the frame.  Clamp the BR91930 hanger to the rear portion of the left tail pipe using a 2-1/4” clamp.  It may be necessary to put a 90 degree bend in the hanger for proper fit.

7)  Install the rear portion of the right tail pipe (it is straight & 16”) to the right tail pipe using a 2-1/4” clamp.  Locate the 1” hole (or drill a hole) in the frame above the middle of the rear portion of the right tail pipe and using a 3/8” x 3-1/2” bolt, nut, lock washer, and large and fender washers (install the smaller washer to the bolt first, then the larger washer), mount the BR91930 to the frame.  Clamp the BR91930 hanger to the rear portion of the left tail pipe using a 2-1/4” clamp.  It may be necessary to put a 90 degree bend in the hanger for proper fit.

8)  Trim the tail pipes to length.  Install the tips to the tail pipes using 2-1/4” clamps.

9)  Tighten all clamps, nuts, and bolts.  Check for leaks and for clearance of all brake and fuel lines, and for clearance of all chassis and frame components.  We recommend tack welding the joints (not necessary though).
